The first is capacity in ampere-hours matched to your backup: a 120Ah battery suits a small flat running fans, lights and a TV, a 150Ah is the mainstream choice for a typical home, and 200Ah and up is for a big home or long, frequent cuts - buying more Ah than your load and your cut length need just adds weight and cost. The second is the plate type and height: a tall tubular battery gives the most backup and life and is the default, while a short tubular fits where headroom is limited (under a stair, in a cabinet, on a shelf) at a small backup penalty, and a cheap flat-plate battery is a false economy for daily power cuts.
