Furniture
Furniture is sold on photographs and adjustment counts. What decides whether you're still happy in year two is duller: whether the plastic frame cracks, whether the seat foam holds its shape, and whether a replacement part arrives when it doesn't.

How we think about furniture
Furniture is the one category where the failure is almost never electronic. Nothing burns out, nothing needs a technician with a multimeter. Things simply crack, sag, wobble and squeak - slowly, in the places you lean on hardest, usually a few months after the return window has closed.
That shapes how we read it. The listing photograph and the count of adjustable parts tell you almost nothing about year two. What tells you something is the material under the upholstery, the weight rating, and above all the pattern in owner reviews written six months and two years after purchase - which is where a category that looks uniformly four-star at three weeks separates into products that hold up and products that don’t.
The second thing we weight, harder here than almost anywhere else on the site, is spare parts. A cracked backrest or a dead gas lift is a ₹500 component, not a dead product - but only if the brand will courier it to you. Some do, quickly and without arguing. Some go quiet. That difference is worth more than any spec on the box, and it’s why a brand’s warranty desk features in our verdicts as prominently as its build quality.
