A home theatre system is the multi-speaker setup people picture when they say “home theatre” - a subwoofer and a set of satellite or floor-standing speakers you place around the room, rather than the single slab of a soundbar. The first is wattage: a “1000W” figure is almost always a peak rating, and an honestly-rated 100W Sony will out-perform a budget box boasting far more.
